Design Awards Celebrate Innovations in Independent Living
In an impressive display of national innovation, the annual Blackwood Design Awards recently crowned winners for their outstanding contributions to independent living. The event, marking its 10th anniversary, unfolded at the National Robotarium at Heriot-Watt University, drawing entries from global tech hubs, universities, and inventors dedicated to improving the lives of those who are aging or have disabilities.
Beyond highlighting the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities, the event serves as a platform to promote and recognise the potential of independent living for all.
