Blackwood currently have a vacancy for an Innovation Delivery Manager based within our Head Office in Edinburgh. A fast-paced and exciting new role, we are looking for a highly skilled, organised and enthusiastic professional who will be our champion of challenging the norm, encouraging creative thinking and bringing an innovative voice in decision-making.
Qualified to minimum HNC level in a relevant discipline and with at least 3 years’ project management experience, you will have responsibility for the implementation, delivery and management of key innovation projects within Blackwood’s Strategy and Business Plan.
Supporting the Head of Research and Innovation, you will support the development of opportunities for innovation in design and technology that promote independent living within our care and housing services as well as pursuing both project-specific and complementary funding streams in line with Blackwood’s commitment to investing in innovation.
You will work closely with the Research and Innovation team on the use of new technologies such as gamification, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality, embedding a digital first culture within the organisation and continuing to establish Blackwood as a pioneer in the care and housing sector. With line management responsibilities for our digital skills trainers and interns, the Innovation Delivery Manager will be required to travel extensively to provide localised support and development as well as ensuring projects are being successfully delivered within the required timeframe and budget.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage with Blackwood’s award-winning, digitally enhanced care system CleverCogs™ that continues to play a pivotal role in helping our customers live their life to the full. You will lead on the creation of new system features in telecare, environmental controls and digital applications from concept to delivery, designing supporting training packages that provide best value and outcomes for our customers.
With excellent communication, planning and IT skills matched with a customer-focussed attitude, you will act as an ambassador for Blackwood and our innovation programme, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to support income generation, business development and the growth of our Innovative profile.
